A high quality field qualified for the finals night of Corduff singles, with some fantastic games throughout.

Round of 16
Jason Hand v Mark Hamilton – Mark had a strong performance to win this one.
Paul Duff v Gerard Moen was a good game, Paul went 3 up going into the last end and kept it tight to make sure he progressed.
Shane Hand v Jamie West – This was an extremely good game of bowls with both on top form. Jamie won with an end to spare, but the game was closer than what the final score suggested.
Brendan Magennis v Brendan Murphy – Brendan Murphy managed to build up an advantage, and Magennis wasn’t able to make the full come back.
Paddy Hanlon v MJ O’Connor – Paddy was in top form here and was never in trouble of losing this one.
Stevie Stafford v PJ McCrossan – This was a really good game of bowls, PJ was 1 up going into the last end, and was holding shot until Stevie chopped him out for 2 with the last bowl.
Lee hall v Stevie Jeffers – Another close game with Stevie winning in last end.
Jal Richardson received a bye in this one.

Quarter Finals
Mark Hamilton v Paul Duff – This was a good tight game throughout. Mark was 1 down going into the last end but he was able to pick up 2 shots to get the win.
Brendan Murphy v Jamie West – This was very tight again, and Brendan Murphy was able to come out on top.
Paddy Hanlon v Steven Jeffers – Paddy continued his good form to win this game with an end to spare.
Jal Richardson v Stevie Stafford – Jal ended up winning this one comfortably after picking up 3 shots twice in first 4 ends.

Semi Finals
Mark Hamilton v Brendan Murphy – Mark had a nip and tuck victory over Brendan winning this in the last end.
Paddy Hanlon v Jal RIchardson. This was close all the way until the 2nd last end where Paddy picked up 4 to go 3 ahead going into the last end but Jal fought back to pick up 3 himself to force a tie-breaker end. However Paddy was able to close out the game in the tie-breaker and meet Mark in the final.

Final
Mark Hamilton v Paddy Hanlon. Paddy started off strongly and raced into an early lead. From here on he played smartly. While Mark threatened to pull back the deficit a couple of times, Paddy did well throughout to either take the shot, or minimise Mark’s points to keep in control of the match. In the end this was enough to take the victory. The full match is available to watch on Youtube using the link below.
Big congratulations to Paddy for the win and commiserations to Mark who played very well throughout the night. Thanks to everyone who supported the tournament during the week and looking forward to having everyone back next year.
