Big Congratulations to Kevin Conroy and Patricia Martin-Bell for winning St Matthew’s Richill Charity Open Pairs tournament. A high quality field qualified for the finals night. In the first game, they were up against Keith McCullough and Colm McHugh from Steelwed Bowling Club. They came through with an end to spare.
In the semi finals, they played against Pauline and Joe Beattie from St Mark’s Portadown. They managed to come through this game with an end to spare as well.
In the final they played Andy and David Morrison from 1st Ahoghill. It was a very tight back-and-forth game throughout. Going into the last end Kevin and Patricia were 9-8 up, and managed to tie the end with both teams’ bowls touching the jack, to hold on for the win.
Congratulations to all the finalists and to St Matthew’s Richill for a successful tournament, and for raising money for the Air Ambulance charity.
